Hello!

 

I'm Lysha and welcome to the Bitten Word! I am an artsy fartsy soul with a penchant for runny egg yolks, corgis, art, tea, symmetry, food and the written word. This blog came about as an archive of all the food I've cooked but has grown to be much more than just pictures and ingredients on a page. 

 

I only cook with love, for the people I love ; whether it be family, friends or myself. Most of these recipes come with a story, something that inspired that cook or what meaning each dish holds ; so there's truly a little bit of me in each one. 

 

I love creating and learning new things, which is how most of the inspiration for my dishes come about. Born and bred in Malaysia, I am very fortunate to have grown up experiencing many different cuisines and cultures. I have a Degree in PR & Marketing but never any formal training in the kitchen which is why I believe all of these recipes can be related to and recreated by anyone. 

 

The dream is to one day have my own space designed around everything I love where I will serve the simple, delicious, honest food you see on this blog.
